At last we have received our demo model of the new Musical Fidelity ASM50 solid state power amplifier. The photographs bellow do not really show how large and heavy an amplifier this is! It ships in at an incredible 65 Kg’s in a light weight cardboard box and weighs in at 60 Kg’s out of the box! The amplifier measures 19 inches wide 12.25 inches high and 18.25 inches deep, so be prepared to purchase a suitable amplifier stand or upgrade you’re existing rack to house it. So what do you get for your money? Well, you get probably the second best amplifier that Anthony and the design engineers at Musical Fidelity have ever produced, the limited edition TITAN takes the honor of being their best.
Rated at 50 watts per channel of pure CLASS A power into 8 ohms and 100 watts per channel into 4 ohms. Delivering 58 volts and 100 amps peak to peak of output voltage and current respectively, this amplifier shows control and finesse all at the same time. Partnered with MF’s PRIMO preamplifier, this package brings life back to your CD and LP collections, no it does not add its own sound to your music collection, it just removes that vail of haze to give your music collection a new lease of life.
