Monitor Audio GOLD GX Series
This new range of loudspeakers from Monitor Audio have been a long time coming. The first two models in this new range from Monitor Audio have arrived just in time for July. The GX50 and GX100 are both new stand-mount loudspeakers, taking technology developed for the Platinum series. The GX50 and GX100 models are priced at £950 and £1250 a pair and are available in a range of finishes from real-wood veneers to High Gloss finishes. The two new floor standing models are due to be with us by the beginning of August

QUAD Elite Series: now in stock and on permanent demonstration
Monitor Audio GOLD GX Series
This new range of loudspeakers from Monitor Audio have been a long time coming. Shown to the Public and Dealers earlier this year the GX range is a major advance for Monitor Audio over the out going GR range. Taking technology developed for the Platinum series, they have developed an all new Ribbon tweeter for this new range of loudspeakers. Unlike previous Gold series loudspeakers the new GX range has increased from 3 models to 4. Two new stand mounts and two new floor standers. Our demonstration stock should be arriving sometime over the next 2 months. We can’t wait to get our hands on these new speakers.
Musical Fidelity
Over the next 2 months June and July, two new products will be launched by Musical Fidelity, the long awaited M1 CDT (CD Transport) to match the M1 DAC and the M1 CliC. Already these two new products have received some excellent reviews in the HiFi Press.
Marantz
We are pleased to bring Marantz products back into the store after an absence of 5 years. While we will be concentrating mainly on 2 channel Marantz products, we will also be providing a limited range of A/V products for our customers consideration. Over the last few years Marantz have regained their position within the 2-channel market with notable successes in both the Entry level and High-End areas of the market.
Audio Physics
Have just released details of upgraded models within their High-End and Reference ranges of loudspeakers. The Tempo 25 is to be joined by the Step 25, Sitara 25 and the Scorpio 25 in the High-End range while in the Reference range the Virgo 25 is joined by an all new model called the Avantera which replaces the old Avanti model. The Avantera received it’s first public showing at the Munich HiFi Show earlier this month (May 2011). B&W Zeppelin Airplay
B&W, has a new updated version of their award winning Zeppelin iPod docking station. The new Zeppelin Airplay features Apple’s music streaming feature, bringing the Zeppelin right up to date.
While the price has increased to £499 for the new Zeppelin Airplay the original Zeppelin remains at £399

Musical Fidelity’s new Integrated amplifier the M3i has now arrived in the shop and is available for demonstration.
We have also now received our demo stock of Audio Physics Limited Edition Tempo 25 loudspeakers and their Sitara loudspeakers, all of which are available for demonstration.

Several new products have been announced from Musical Fidelity. The long awaited “entry” level CD Player and Integrated amplifier, the M3 CD and M3 amplifier are due to be launched in June/July. Two other new products that Anthony promised are due to arrive soon.

M1 DAC
Musical Fidelity was pretty well the first company in the world to make a DAC. Since then we have an unbroken lineage of top performing, top value digital products.
The new M1 DAC is the fruit of our 23 years experience of making top performance DACs. It has four digital inputs; coax, optical, balanced and USB.
The M1 DAC will lock on to any SP diff signal at; 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88kHz, 96kHz and 192kHz. The input sampling frequency is displayed on the front panel.
The M1 DAC upsamples to 24-bit at 192kHz. This is genuine true upsampling.
The M1’s technical performance is, pretty well, as good as any at any price. We know this sounds like an incredible claim but it’s true. Musical Fidelity’s state-of-the-art circuit design and pcb layout with the use of top quality digital components gives state-of-the-art performance. There’s no secret or mystery about this. We use top quality digital components in carefully designed circuit configurations which are subtly implemented on brilliant pcb layouts. Unsurprisingly the result is state-of-the-art performance. It’s just that the price is competitive so many people find it hard to believe.
The M1 DAC has vanishingly low distortion, typically less than 0.005% across the band. Frequency response is ruler flat. Jitter is extremely low. The noise ratio is outstanding, one of the quietest DACs in the world regardless of price. Looking at the M1 DAC’s total measurements and comparing them to any DAC up to ten times its price you will see that, on balance, the M1 DAC is equal to or better than any.
The M1 DAC has a high quality power supply. Interestingly it has choke filtration on the mains input. This, effectively, is a mains signal conditioner which increases the performance and value of the M1 to even greater heights.
The M1 DAC’s UK retail will be about £399. It will be available from early July.
M1 HPA
We all know that when we listen to pure Class A amps such as the AMS35i or AMS50 that the sound is incredible. It is richer, fuller, smoother and the bottom end is more extended. That’s why the reputation of pure Class A amplifiers remains so strong; they really are the best thing.
Musical Fidelity has a long history of making superlative headphone amplifiers. The M1 HPA pure Class A headphone amp has exactly the same sonic characteristics with headphones as our pure Class A amplifiers with loudspeakers. It sounds fantastic.
The M1 HPA pure Class A headphone amp’s technical performance is outstanding. Distortion is incredibly low (less than .0005% across the band) frequency response is ruler flat. Noise ratio is outstanding. In every technical parameter the M1 pure Class A headphone amp is outstanding.
The HPA has very low output impedance (below 1 ohm). Headphone amps’ output impedance is a usually ignored but very important measurement. The HPA’s extraordinary low output impedance means that it can drive any headphone with complete linearity and low distortion. The vast majority of competitive headphone amplifiers cannot do this because they have much higher output impedance.
We believe that neutrality and complete faithfulness to the original recording is what hi-fi exists for. If you agree with that ideal then the HPA pure Class A headphone amp is for you.
The HPA has two inputs; line and USB (from computers etc.). It has two headphone sockets on the front panel and a loop out facility.
Importantly the HPA also has a variable line output so that it can be used as a very high quality simple preamp.

Dooleys have been appointed as a stockist for Wireworld's Series of Reference Cables. Wireworld's Reference range includes the following ranges, Eclipse 6, Silver Eclipse 6, Gold Eclipse 6 and the flagship Platinum Eclipse. Each range covers interconnects, speaker cables and power chords. A selection of cables will be available for demonstration from March 2010. Audio Physics celebrate their 25 years of loudspeaker production with a Limited Edition run of probably their most successful loudspeaker the TEMPO. This limited run is called the TEMPO 25.
Over the years the TEMPO has become a classic in it's own right, the current TEMPO is the 6th version that Audio Physics have produced. This highly successful model has been the embodiment of all the great sound virtues that Audio Physic stand for, so to celebrate their 25 years Audio Physics decided to give it a bit of special treatment.
The new TEMPO 25 is loaded with Audio Physic's own HHCM midrange driver and their HHCT II tweeter developed for their new CARDEAS flagship model, both these drivers are at the pinnacle of driver technology and are coupled with two 7 inch woofers. The TEMPO 25 features an elegant sleek cabinet and is capable of producing a pure, powerful and precise sound in both small and large rooms. Musical Fidelity have released the matching CD Player for their new AMS Series of products — the new CD player is the AMSCD and features the Philips CD Pro transport, in a front loading format rather than the previous top loading layout of the A1 CD Player and the A1008 CD Player ( both of these models have now been discontinued).

Musical Fidelity’s new AMS 35i Integrated Amplifier has now arrived and is available for demonstration. We have opted for the Black version as our demonstration model and it really does look stunning. Rated at 35 watts of Pure Class A per channel this lower powered integrated still has the ability to generate exceptional dynamics, with the same inky black silence of the more powerful AMS50 power amplifier. Priced at £6000 this amplifier is a bargain when compared to it’s competitors. We can hardly wait to see what MF are going to offer with the M6 components and the promised high-end CD player to match the Primo, Titan and AMS products .... Can you?

Well, Musical Fidelity have done it again, 2 more new products are due in September and October. The first product to launch will be the M6i Integrated amplifier in September, followed in October by the matching M6 CD player. At the moment we have no details on specification of these two new products, the expected price is £2500 each. The units will be available in silver or black

Another new product from Musical Fidelity? Yes, Anthony has announced that a new integrated amplifier is to join the Anthony Michaelson Signature range of products. “In June we’ll be launching the AMS35i, 35wpc pure Class A integrated amplifier. This amplifier is the epitome of the purest audiophile high end”. Housed in the same size case as the PRIMO preamplifier, this new integrated amplifier promises the same sonic performance as the more powerful AMS50 power amplifier but in a more compact size. The new AMS35i is priced at £6000.

Musical Fidelity’s new Primo preamplifier (£7999) has now been joined by the Anthony Michaelson Signature 50 watt power amplifier - AMS50 (£8900) and are available for demonstration. In the short period of time we have had this new all valve preamplifier and solid state power amplifier they have amazed us with their speed, authority, large sound stage and totally quiet background noise, they are in a class of their own. On the Blu-Ray front Panasonic are launching their first ever domestic Blu-Ray HD Recorders - 2 models fitted with twin FREESAT Tuners prices are expected to be approximately £1000 and £900. A complete new range of LCD, PLASMA TV’s, Blu-Ray players, DVD players, DVD Recorders and Home Cinema Systems are due over the next few months. Additional details will be posted as more information becomes available.
We have already received delivery of Panasonic’s new entry level HD-Ready Plasma Televisions, TX-P37X10, TX-P42X10 and TX-P50X10.
