Quad has always been famous for their electrostatic loudspeakers. In the last decade, Quad branched out into producing conventional, dynamic box loudspeakers with the launch of the very succesful L-SeriesThe L2 series was launched in September 2006. A follow-up to the original L-series it has been updated and improved in every respect whilst maintaining the same clear identity and level of refinement. Aluminium voice coils, a new profiled tweeter pod, improved chassis design for lower mid-range distortion and improved terminals, spikes and plinths. Set to become every bit as influential as its predecessor, the L2 series is once again redefining expectations in its class. These speakers are available in a wide range of finishes.

Quad 9L2 - Price £249.95 pair
The 9L2 is a studio-quality bookshelf / stand-mount loudspeaker with a flat, monitor-like performance and remarkable bandwidth. The design incorporates the latest technology including an aluminium voice coil and low-reflection bass driver chassis. With a superbly integrated mid-range, the 9L2 is both refined and exciting, with class-leading detail and imaging. The 9L2, smaller that the 11L2, is ideal to replace the OEM speakers supplied with high-quality integrated micro and mini systems. Many such all-in-one systems are capable of much better sound quality than their standard speakers are capable of reproducing. The 9L2 has been engineered to fill this gap, with a frequency response extending to 50Hz in the lower registers.
The 9L2 is capable of quite astonishing bass even despite their little size, so for the majority of listening, no bass reinforcement is required.

Quad 12L2 - Price £499.95 pair
The 12L2 is slightly larger than its stand-mount sibling and as such, offers a slightly wider dynamic range. It also uses a larger 6.5" version of the KEVLAR bass driver, with the low-reflection chassis seen throughout the series. Transient attack and detail are first-class, as is the wide dispersion (reaching across 90 degrees from axis). Bass extension is also impressive with the -3db point reached at 45Hz. Finished in piano laquered gloss, these are excellent all-rounders which will bring out the most in a music collection.
Quad 21L2 - Price £699.95 pair
The 21L2 uses the same drive unit components as its smaller 12L2 brother, with a crossover appropriately tuned.. As a floor-standing model, the 21L2 is capable of better bass extension than the stand-mount versions, going down to around 35Hz at the bottom end. Fast and agile, the 21L2 is one of the most musical loudspeakers in its class, capable of following fast moving bass-lines, whilst retaining full composure throughout the mid-range and upper registers.

Leading the L2 series range is the 22L2. With a huge dynamic range and frequency bandwidth, it offers class-leading performance throughout the frequency spectrum. Bass response bottoms out at an impressive 30Hz. When positioned exactly 350mm from a rear wall, the in-room response is flat to this level, with no compromise of the mid-range or high-frequencies. These loudspeakers produce exceptional results with the most challenging music genres, especially large scale orchestral and rock.

Designed for use in a full Quad L2 series Home Cinema Theatre loudspeaker package, the L2 - Centre is a perfect match for any of Quad’s L2 series of stand-mount/bookshelf or floor standing loudspeakers.
The L2-Centre uses 2 x 130mm long-throw bass drivers with a 25mm dome tweeter.

Quad’s L2-subwoofer uses a massive 12 inch (300mm) downward firing bass driver, coupled to a 300W built in amplifier. The L2-Sub, features full remote control with 4 presets, a comprehensive front panel display, all enclosed in a beautifully finished sealed box.
Quad 11L Active Studio Monitor - Price £599.95 pair
The Active L-series are powered versions of our famous L-series loudspeakers. The 2 models, the '11L active' and the '12L active' both feature not only one amplifier, but two amplifiers per speaker, each tailored to perfectly match its drive unit.
Use with PCs, network media clients, iPods - indeed anything with a volume controlled output - including our own 99CDP-2. Each speaker requires mains power and has RCA, XLR (balanced) inputs and volume controls.
